In May 2024, the 161 partners of the Access to Justice program came together to review the program's results across 257 districts between April 2023 and March 2024. These results were independently audited, and demonstrate remarkable impact.
29,224 CHILDREN RESCUED FROM TRAFFICKING | 19,990 CASES OF CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE SUPPORTED | 73,501 CHILD MARRIAGES PREVENTED |
16,084 CASES AGAINST CHILD TRAFFICKERS REGISTERED | 1,645 CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CONVICTIONS | 53 GOVT AGENCIES ENGAGED IN CHILD MARRIAGE CAMPAIGN |
The success of the program has enabled Access to Justice to expand to more than 200 partners in 415 districts across India, including cross-border work with Nepal. New partners joined old partners across two different workshops to co-create and co-design next year's work. For the last two days of the May evaluation workshop, more than 40 new organizations joined the program’s existing partners. In July, an additional 28 new partners took part in another workshop, along with 6 current partners who shared their experiences.
During the workshops, new partners were oriented on the program, its data portal, and reporting systems, and were supported with press and social media training to promote their impact. Program planning exercises were conducted, and all partners pledged to end child exploitation at the close of the events.
